      I'm not sure this is actually my first bait cast rod in a long time and I've always seen them and heard good things about them so i figured why not for half price!

        On sale online as well. If I had the extra dough, I would probably grab one as a top water slinger... No real need for one though. Thanks!

                  i wouldn't worry about it too much. it's a hair trigger. somethin similar happened with dick cheney.

                      I bought a Carrotsix 6'7" MH spinning rod this evening. I have never before owned a rod with a split grip or with microguides. This will be my test rod.

                        The split is nice once you get used to it sometimes a little weird coming out of a scotty when you're trolling and in a hurry. I'm also pretty Much in the same boat with you though and the guides are killer
