How was the weekend?

There was talk of Occoquan and also Mattawoman. I just wanted to know the details and how we all did. I went out on Occoquan Saturday and Sunday. From 12- 4 Sat and 8-12 Sun. Since it was my first time there I did spend a little time just scouting and trying all types of areas. Saturday most of that was done so I didn’t get much fishing in. Sunday I did a lot of fishing, but nothing was hitting. No one on the water seemed to get anything. I got skunked. Since the cold front came in I was afraid that would happen. I tried everything in my tackle box. Everything that made sense anyway. Spoons, crank baits, jigs, plastics worms and twister tales, bright colors, scents, rattles. It just wasn’t happening for me. Saturday I did catch a crappie, but that was it. Water clarity had to have been an issue. It was better than I expected, but it didn’t help. That and the cold weather made it a disaster. I hope someone else made out better than I did. I might give it a shot next Saturday.
