  • Da DAWG House

Ok Guys .......... been feeling really guilty lately about not getting the Dawg House work partys together .............

Actually trying to figure out how to make it a fun day beneficial to all ........... think I've got it ........

If you give me 3 hours (shouldn't take more than that is we have 5 or more guys) of work to get this done ......... We will have a lead pouring party for the next 3-4 hours and willmake all the jig heads and bucktails you want and powder paint them ............ should be able to do 100 - 200 complete. I have the lead, melting pots and the molds and the powder paints and the ovens and fluid beds and the hooks for just about any lures you want. If I don't have it I will get it. I also have a bunch of bucktails in different colors, flash a bou, eyes etc etc ............ you can go home with all of the jigheads/bucktails you will ever need for the season and learn the finer points of lure making .......... free to you in trade for your help on the DAWG House for all of us.

Here's the things I need to get done on this day.
Need a sink and toilet installed and the old ones taken to the dump.
    Need a kitchen faucet replaced.
Need 2 - 3 trips to the dump to get rid of some couchs etc.
Need a door installed on a brick shed.
Look over the basement to access what is needed to finish the rest of the basement.

I have most of the tools necessary for the plumbing and the carpentry. I have a trailer to haul the stuff to the dump and I will have the items to be installed.

I will post a list of the molds I have. Let me know if there are other jighead/bucktails you want and I will get the mold. I have ablut 50 lbs of lead so I can use more if you have some ........

I need a commitment from you guys as to who will be coming. Don't worry if you don't have the plumbing/carpentry skills ....... I still need your hands and back ......

This will be the 1st of several work/rigging partys .......... others will include pouring plastics and rodbuilding.

I'm thinking either 3/17 or 3/18 .......... let me know what day is best.

This should in no way impede the Spankin Stripers group sale. Some people don't have the time, desire or inclination to make the lures and that guy has lure eyes that no one else can do ........ and he is a great guy, I'm gonna order with the group.

This is just you giving to me to get the DAWG House done and me giving to you lurecraft skills, lures and a Dawg House for hanging out ..........

Please respond here or PM me.

    Thanks in advance
    Rick

O k ......... here's the list of molds from the basement ....... probably a couple of more in the pouring shed ....... these are the molds and the ranges of sizes usually everything between

    Stand up jig 1/4-3/8

    Shadhead 1/4 - 2 1/2

    Popeye 1 1/2 - 3

    Casting spoon

    Round Head 1/80 - 3 oz

    Erie jig 3/8- 3/4

    Shad Dart 1/64 - 3/4

    Ultra Minnow 1/2 - 1 1/2

    Bullet nose 2 1/2 - 4

    Spire point 5, 6

    Banana 3/4 - 2

    H style 1 1/2 - 2 1/2

    Trolling heads 1/2 - 1

    Jigging spoon 5/8 - 1 3/8

    Spearhead 5/8 3/4 ?

    Flutter jig 1/4 - 1

I don't have hooks for all of them so ya have to let me know which 1's ya want so I can make sure I have the hooks ........... can probably pour and paint about 75 - 100/hr if we have enough hands .......... also have a few tying vises to make the heads into bucktails .......

I have most of the standard Powder paint and a bunch of vinyl paint ....... will check those colors ........

Sorry Captn ........ guess I should 'splain ......... here's what I posted awhile back ........

        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

" My goal is to have the perfect man cave for all us Yak Fishermen ......a place to hang out ..... so I gotta get to it ....... It's my goal for this year

....... over the last couple of years I've accumulated a ton of stuff for rod building and lure building ....... I have more than most professional rodbuilding shops and lure building shops. The basement is 30 x 30 w/fireplace and will have couchs and a wide screen for watching games fishing vids and tables for tackle building and a seperate room for rodbuilding .......... I've found it's more fun building stuff with others so I want a place to do this. I have this space and I'm single so it's perfect for a man cave.

Problem is that a couple of years ago I had termites in the basement and I ripped out walls and I had a toilet that leaked so I turned off the water in that bathroom and I want to replace the toilet and the sink.

If I can ever get my basement finished I'll hold robbuilding and lure building classes at my house ........... I literally have everything ......... 3 power wrappers, 2 hand wrappers, dryers, library of books and magazines going back over 20 years, 3 looms for weaving, software for both weaving and crosswraps, about 50 blanks and tons of components, all kind of cork rings and ready made cork handles, regular lathe, flocking equipment, different epoxy and finishes, several hundred spools of thread in just about every color and shade ........ etc etc etc .......

Also have everything to make almost any lure you want ........ including stuff for making molds for/of the lure ....... plastic, lead, wood ...... including all the components .........

I need help with framing and wallboarding and maybe brickwork to rebuild what I tore down and I Also need someone to install/replace a sink and toilet ....... plumbing is already there ........ not a huge amount of work probably a couple of weekends .......

So ....... I'm Looking for someone to do this work or help me do it .......... so If you're interested or know someone that's good at this and/or looking for work let me know. I will pay cash or trade for custom rods and custom tackle.

Thanks in advance for any help .......... remember ....... you guys will benefit from this too ....... "

        Oh and I also have a 15 x 15 patio w/ss barbacue perfect for a crabfeast

I'm calling it rhe DAWG House ......... just need help getting it together ......... I figured the instead of just going at it with all work and no play ......... I'd make it 1/2 and 1/2 .......... it gets done and everybody benefits every step of the way ...........

1st date March 17 th or 18th ........... goal ....... to get the junk to the dump so I can move stuff to get the major stuff done .........

        Location
        2414 Lampost Lane
        Balto Md 21234 ......... Towson/Parkville area

          Duh ! Got it now.

It pays to read the entire post.....in other words, measure twice, cut once. I think I have adequately demonstrated my qualifications to be working on your house.

That statement not withstanding, I am very strongly attracted to helping you. This is on St Patty's Day and the following Sunday. Personally, Sat works better for me as I will have a 100 mile commute to get there.

It's going to look very bad for you Balti-morons if a bunch of us hicks from Southern Maryland, show up to fix your Dawg House. I mean it's going to be bragging rights....like...forever. You are never going to hear the end of it !

          Besides, we're better anglers anyway.

I'd be glad to help, but not sure I'm too interested in making jigheads...
I'd definately take some if you made them though...

Thanks Ryan ......... thanks in advance for your help ......

Can always make plastics if you'd prefer ........ gotta mix the plastic though ..... been sitting for awhile ......... I can put together a lost of molds for that ......... I know I have giant tube molds (gitizit types) (musky type)

sluggo's ......... Ba's .... swimbaits - several types ........ plenty of dyes and glitter ...... even glow I think ........ 3 presto pots ..... 2 w/stirring motors ..... microwave and pyrex measuring cups ......... not sure if I can run lead pot and presto pot on same 30 amp circuit but we can try ...... might have to pour on the patio ....... was going to do that another day but we can do some here too ......

I'm not sure I can commit because it's my mom and grandmother's birthday that weekend, but I'd like to help. If I have time that day can I swing by? I'm not too far.
