I Tevo'd the Hobie shows and watched one I missed yesterday. Part of the show featured the Hobie Adventure. I started thinking that this might be a nice quasi mothership ........ thi's big and really stable with the could probably be a great tow boat to get to some distant places ........... via windpower

You ought to talk to Keith about how it might do as a "mothership." I first saw him use it at last year's TKAA tournament. Pretty impressive "yak."
I'd imagine it would do OK pulling maybe two yaks. It'd be slow though. If you wanted to go out, say 13 miles to Triangle Wrecks, it'll take several hours one-way. If you move at 3 mph (on average), that's over 4 hours. (assuming at least no current)Last edited by tufnik; 03-05-2012, 05:18 PM.2015 Hobie Outback (yellow)

It helps if your neighbor is an ex-pro bass fisherman like mine

I have a sail for the Outback, which is not quite the adventure island, but it doesn't exactly fly through the water
