    We stopped by the Davidsonville launch in November and there appeared to be a lot of storm damage on the river.It is quite a carry to the launch but there is a metal ramp for sliding yaks down.

        That launch is used most of the time when we talk about fishing Jug Bay. On my last trip up the western branch, I saw a couple of water trail markers...one of which was a camp site. Pretty neat.

        Good area for perch in the summer. Current can get wicked thru there

          Are the pilings from the old railroad bridge still there between Jugs Bay and the rt. 4 bridge?At high tide they where hard to spot.

            There is one piling visible in the middle of the river. I dont recall seeing others.

              Forty years ago My brother would paddle up through there in his home made canvas kayak.I always thought He would get caught by those pilings.
