Anyone launch from Elk neck state park and fish the flats? What is launch site like? Probably going to try fishing lower flats from elk neck state park tomorrow. Looks like park opens at 9. I think I remember talk about being able to launch just north of swimming area on bay side.

Horseshoe Pt Ln ?
There is a beach, part of Elk Neck State Park that is just south of Horseshoe Pt Ln. We should approach the Superintendent of the Park to permit our Kayak club/group access to that beach, and find out what is required of us. -
There was a very long thread on this very subject on Stripersonline this time last year. Might be worth reading since it may answer a lot of questions about this particular cartop launch site.
