Not kayak or fishing related but cool none-the-less... I took these today while I was at work. It was a shock to me as I haven't watched the news in weeks so I didn't know it was scheduled.

It came right over us in Dc cool to see. Most likely we will never see that again. However, NY will be getting one on Monday, exact route unknown due to weather changes and CA will be getting one in the fall. They flew over the monuments in DC and NY they are to fly by the statue of liberty they said. I bet they fly over ground zero also.

I'da given a lot to see that. I'm sort of a space junkie. I knew they had been using the 747 to transport the shuttle as needed... but still it looks like something that would never had worked in a million years... but it does. I'm guessing while flying over DC the 747 didn't do any barrel rolls or loop-d-loops... you know how those pilots like to show off when they know everyone is watching.

lol, yeah, dont think that was going to happen. i was watching the live feed on nasa's site and it had audio from air traffic control. it was pretty wild hearing the communication between the shuttle transport, chase aircraft and numerous helicopters following it for photographs

I was at Patrick AFB in Florida when she lanched for the first time. That was awesome! 14 or so miles away from the Cape and the ground shook!
