  • Anyone fishing Susky Flats Saturday?

I'd like to try and get into some striper action. Planning to bypass turkeys in morning and fish.for stripers. Anyone interested in fishing?

I'm planning on launching early from Tydings Park boat ramp in Havre de grace at 5:30 a.m., if I can make it there that early.

Not sure were Perryville is. Tydings is were everyone launched for the jamboree.

It's probably about a 2 mile peddle, or about an hour. It's 5 miles to Carpenter's point from Tydings. I wont launch in the dark so 6:15 is the earliest I could launch. After about an hour I'd just be getting to Perryville at 7:15 so I may as well launch from there and save the paddle.

Although trolling on the way could find the fish during that hour so maybe it's a toss up after all.

Are we planning to fish the Carpenters point area? It looks like Charlestown boat ramp is just North of it. I don't know anything about it either.

I'm going where Yak Fish is going because he got me on YP last time I was there. (no pressure)

What about the bridge pilings in Perryville? Could hold bigger fish, yes?

If its that far, I'll wait until 730 and launch at Perryville. The winds are going to increase by afternoon, so anyone returning south to Tydings will be going into the SW winds. As much a I would like to fish at first light, I'm not interested in paddling that, especially on opening day of stripper season and all the possible powerboats running everywhere. So I'll be waiting in line to launch at Perryville at 730. Hope to see some of you guys there and hopefully we can get into some strippers.
