Great to meet you Jason - Congrats on your new Outback - and also glad to know we are in the same boat - so to speak! I have found this group to be invaluable. I am reading a few books that have been a big help - the authors are also members here. Folks have been so generous with their time and knowledge. I also found Alan Batista's books helpful and recommend all three: https://www.facebook.com/chesapeake.kayak.trolling John and Alan have somewhat different fishing styles and it was helpful to learn from both of these experienced anglers.

Wholeheartedly agree. We may have members here who may be polar opposites when it comes to kayak fishing technique, but they can still engage in a civil conversation. Ive only been around for about 4 years, but in that time, I dont think Ive ever seen someone banned or topics locked due to nasty exchanges or inappropriate behavior.
