  • Too cold for fishing unless you are a snowman

    With the cold weather we have had for several days plus a cold forecast for the next week, I am staying off the water for a while. I suspect that some of my preferred pickerel grounds will have ice cover for a while.

    I have posted the following photos in previous years, but think they may be entertaining to show again. Here is my winter fishing buddy Frosty out for a snowy fishing trip in Feb 2014. He is a safety-minded angler (wearing a PFD). He was hoping for snowtrout (an actual fish species found in streams in the Himalayas) but did not catch any of them at my house.
