Need Rod Upgrade Advice

I like this Magtouch rod, but there's an issue. When I fish for hours with it, the grip is not all that comfortable. As you can see, the handle is a finished carbon weave handle. It's hard, not soft like EVA or cork.

How can I upgrade the handle?

I went to the Mudhole website to look for a regular or s-grip EVA or cork grip, but can't quite find what I need.

The handle OD is 7/8". The handle tapers toward the trigger where the OD is 3/4". Is there cork that would fit it? I'd like to make the EVA or cork flush with the plastic trigger.

Would a set of the grip wraps work? Something like this http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shop...ct/94037/96096 Never used them but it could be a less than permanent solution.

If I can't find a way to use EVA/cork, I may go with tape wrap. I prefer cork or something that doesn't eventually unravel. Didn't know about the wrap, thanks.
