What are the small dimples the appear on the water surface. I thought they were minnows but can not see them.

Lots of room for interpretation with that question. Are the dimples moving? If so it’s bait fish. Some times they will go deep if they sense you which may be why you aren’t seeing them. Stationary could be just gas bubbles releasing from the bottom.Mike
