  • Kayak maintenance/repair shops? (Hobie, MD suburbs of DC)

Like the title says, my kayak needs some love. Some part of the cords and bungies etc that move the rudder up/down have worn out and let go, and I assume the steering ones are as well. It's a 2012 outback, normally I'd diy everything but deciding it may make sense to pay for the convenience of someone else doing this maintenance instead of wasting a fishing day on it. Do I have any options within a hour or so of college park? Or should I just get on with doing it myself?

Forgot to add the hobie dealer locator just lists REI x3. I don't believe they do any maintenance other than bicycles.

If it's rudder related line or bungee replacement, well worth paying them. I've had to do a few and it isn't fun. You need more than a pair of long arms and two elbows sometimes.

I am 99% sure it's bungee only, so I'll likely still use the kayak this weekend and then get it fixed, I emailed Dan and just need to figure out a time to drop off my kayak and leave it with him for a week or two. It was going to be this weekend but the weather is so nice lol
