  • Anyone have standard Hobie fins?

I have turbo fins which work great in bay, but i'm doing alot of fishing in shallower fresh water.
Anyone upgrade and have old standard fins laying around?

      Kevin,

I have these fins from my original 2012 Revo that you are welcome to have for free:

Back then Hobie fins looked like...fins! They worked fine. However, I changed them to the newer rectangular shaped standard fins thinking I'd get a little more thrust without coping with the added length of the Turbo Fins. In truth, I noticed no difference. The Revo, then and now, is sleek and moves with great efficiency.

I now have a 2017 Revo with standard fins. I've never used Turbo Fins for the reason you cited. I fish shallow water a lot and did not want to be inhibited by the longer fins.

Anyway, if you want the fins above PM me and I'll mail them to you.

Very generous offer Mark, however Kevin may have an incompatible drive. V1 fin shafts attach to the drive with a set screw and have a flattened area for the set screw. V2 fin shafts screw into brass inserts and are threaded. Fins are compatible with either shafts, but you do want the similar shafts length. Shafts are not compatible between V1 & V2 models. I believe 2009 is when they changed the model years.

Check your drive. I may have some spare V1 fin shafts. I'll have to check.
