Sneads Ferry Bridge access (NC)

Hi all,

I will be fishing in the Jacksonville, NC area the last weekend of September and am looking for public access close to the Sneads Ferry Bridge. There is a public boat ramp about a 2 mile pedal from the bridge but I am looking for a closer spot. I have a few lines out to some friends down that way but thought I would check here as well.

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.
