I wanted to share a link to the upcoming 3-day Tangier Classic tournament for anybody that may not know of it but might be interested. I know a few on here already fish it, myself included.
The tournament headquarters is in Crisfield, but you can fish anywhere in the bay and submit catches through an app. You do have to attend one of the captains meetings in either Salisbury or Crisfeld though. They also have 2 separate parties Friday and Saturday night at the tournament headquarters that are included with your registration. There are a ton of calcutta options to choice from so you have the chance at winning some decent money for just going fishing!
The best part about the tournament is that it is a fundraiser for a local child who has special needs or who is dealing with extreme medical issues. Each year they choose a new beneficiary, and if you read the story on this years beneficiary, its hard not to come out to support him. Even if you can't fish the tournament you can still make a donation to the beneficiary on their website. All the money from the fundraiser party and registration, along with some portions of a couple calcutta go directly to the beneficiary.
