  • Moon Phase= Good Fishing / Friday to find out?!

So a little while ago I got this new watch that predicts the best possible time for fishing, based on moon phases. This weekend it looks like it supposed to be good, so I was wondering how many of you have found this to be true. If anyone is going fishing tomorrow, please make sure you post to say what you caught, and we can get an idea of how accurate this is. It basically says tomorrow will be good most of the day with highlighted areas at 6am 11-1pm and 1800 2300-0200.

All that said, I am thinking about fishing tomorrow morning to see how accurate this is. I was going to G dock and fish the bridge. Anyone want to join me???

You'll have to get a lot of fishing data to get valid representation and verification. Like many others, I just accept it as generally true.

However, I don't fish based on moon phases. I fish based on convenience and free time according to my schedule. You can still catch fish on "off moon" days.

    Good luck at the BB!

        My Fishing Results

I fished Piney Run with a buddy this morning. We hit the lake around 7:45AM with tons of fog. We stopped fishing at noon when a thunderstorm approached. I landed a 11 inch largemouth on a jointed Rapala minnow. I also landed two 16 inch largemouths on a beetlespin. My buddy had two fish come off before boating them. One on an x-rap, the other on a jointed rapala shad rap.

So not the greatest day fishing, but I'll take it. The two 16 inchers put up a great fight and were heavy.

I'm gonna launch at either SPSP at the Kayak Launch, its too the left of the main buildings as you enter the park going towards the bay. If I'm not there I will go to Mattapeake and hit the trench where I caught my 25" during the CBKA Tourny. Its a good spot. Simply reply and let me know when or where I can meet anyone wanting to go out. I don't want to go out on the bay alone. I will be checking my email throughout the night and early morning. I'm good for either spot.

Hey everyone, so this is my first time posting on the forum after joining last week. I just got a 12ft malibu stealth that I've used a few times and can't wait to get out again.

Anyways as far as fishing Friday I have some experience that seems to validate the good fishing this past Friday point. I went out of breezy point marina on a family friends boat this past Thursday an Saturday. Trolled 15 rods both days along the shipping and false channel edges without a single fish. I didn't fish Friday but my dad went out on the same boat and same sprea and boated 4 stripers with the biggest being a fat 37''. Needless to say I was po'd when we got skunked again Saturday! Not sure what it was but Friday was the day to be out on the water!

As far as fishin from my stealth I plan on hitting the BB soon and also headin mattawoman again. I live in Bowie so I look forward to fishing with some of you guys. This forum has been a huge help already since I'm new to kayak fishing.
