  • Best spots for summer striper

Thanks to everyone that convinced me to drive the hour from Dover to hit the susky flats last week...probably one of my all time best days fishing...

That said, I am looking for further pointers about great spots and techniques for striper during the heat of the summer. I have heard a good deal about the bay bridge, but would love to get some other good, can't miss options to try out that are fairly easy to get to on the yak. I'm willing to pedal a few miles if need be of course

    Thanks in advance!

Or any of the channel markers out there. Structure + current is what you are looking for, the above water structure is easier to find but there are many different types to look for. The Potomac has many humps and ledges that hold fish, check the charts and you'll see what I mean!

All the mentioned spots are good and you should still be able to pick up a few "resident" Stripers starting May 16 on the Flats. Keep in mind that nothing is "can't miss" in the heat of the summer and you are not likely to see Striper fishing days in the summer that will even come close to sping Striper fishing on the Flats.
