  • Historically Low Dissolved Oxygen Levels?

Pretty good read below discussing current conditions in the bay...may explain why fishing was so dynamite a month ago and has since slowed down quite a bit in most places. I am still a novice in this region and perhaps this is typical each year, but I would bet the very strange winter will have even stranger effects on the water this year. Good info on bay bridge water columns as well

In the summer, the best fishing in the Severn is in water less than 20ft deep. I'm told the O2 levels below that are too low for the fish to feel comfortable.
