  • Kayak Crabbing Get Together

Moc's thread about crabs in the CBKA tournament sparked my imagination...

Would any of the yak crabbers on here be interested in a Kayak crabbing meet & greet/ get together? We could all meet up and crab somewhere and then steam all the crabs up for a big feast.

Anybody feel free to suggest a location, date and after location for the steam...

Also, we could have some sort of contest for larget crab.

Yah, if it's not too far. I'll bring my 600' line. I've only ever crabbed in the Gunpowder so I wouldn't know where to go otherwise, but always willing to learn.

            Good idea.

Im interested in it. What would a beginner need to a few pots. I was thinking about getting 3 or 4 and letting them sit for a while. Is that possible?

I have never crabbed before and know very little about it. I could be interested in learning though. Where and when?

I will be taking my first crabbing trip next weekend with my wife on the Severn using the tucker st ramp in weems creek. I'm just hoping to catch a dozen at this point in the year.

If we are going to do this it will probably be better to do it later in the year when the crabs are running better and I'd prefer a more upper bay location. Hopefully we get figure something out.
