Woo Hoo .......... been looking for a Navionics Fish n Chip for the Hummingbird 798si ........... it's discontinued as of this year but give GREAT contours ......... just got a great deal on 1

Got some great screen shots of Fishersman's island from Navionics but they are not in a format that is usable here ........ bummer .........

The last time I looked there were a few left at West Marine. I wrote about this some time back a ways. They are significantly reduced in price. I think they merged the fish n' chip into the platnum chip. The last time I looked there were only a few fish n' chips left around the country. I use one in my 597. The increased countours are great when trolling.

Dang ......... wish I'd payed more attention ........... picked this 1 up for $125 ......... checked the net and the best I could see was $165 from someplace I didn't know ......... I loved the screen shots Navionics sent me ............ showed every bump ........

if your computer has 'snipit' or 'snagit' program, they're easy to use and anything that you can get displayed on your computer screen can be saved into a pic for posting, including your whole screen. probly other ways to do it too, but i think i've been using snagit (at work) and snipit (at home) for stuff like this.

Thanks but I don't have it here at work ............ and the Feds hear REALLY don't like installing unapproved software on theses computers .......... but thanks for the suggestions ......... the screen shots were of the FisnChips maps at different resolutions.

first print screen doesn't work at work ......... second, this website won't let me post it because it doesn't recognize the format I think ...... might also be the file size .....couldn't find the chart that shows the acceptable file size .... it's not a jpeg etc.

I think I wish I would have gotten the fish and chip. I got the gold and didn't know better. I thought they were merged but I guess it was on the platinum.
The extra contours look great....at least I think. As long as they don't clutter the screen too much.

Where did you find it for $125?

I could only find one left in the whole company. I transferred it from a store in Florida. It is the East Coast version, which is what I have. It is $49.95, at least that is what came up on the computer. It won't be in the store until next week.
