When I start to spend more time concerned about the wind and waves than my fishing. Essentially, when it is not fun any more.

      Bay bridge 20

      Hrbt 20
      Kipto 15-20
      Rudee no limit
      Kent narrows 20
Etc... depends alot on wind direction too.

Basically ill go out in wind and chop and it doesn't bother me. Know YOUR limits. Having a hobie helps too.

Realy depends on how hard you want to work for the fish or how wet you want to get..Small chop can be miserable {wet all day} larg swells are hard to work structures. My son and I went out with 3 to 4 ft wave just to see how the yaks would do I got so great video of him on his outback having a blast.

depends, open water about 15kts. after that its more work than fun and trying to keep the bow into the waves gets tricky. id rather be in 5' rolling waves than 2.5-3' chop on the bay. usualy when my braid starts singing its time to go and find another spot
