  • Too Damn Hot!d

I can't believe this weather- you know it is bad when it is too hot to fish- Severe Weather alert for dangerous heat until Monday when we have to go back to work- I fished Tuesday in 100 degree temps and thought I was going to fall out- dipped my wide brimed hat in the water, hung my feet and legs over the side trying to cool off- just too hot- I drank over a gallon of water and was still thirsty- Bill and I fished PLO Thursday in the heat of late afternoon and it didn't cool off until well after dark- we need some rain to cool things down and get the fish biting- it is just too hot-

I went wet wading in the Upper Patapsco today.
I thought that I could find enough shady patches to fish in.
You know it's hot when you are standing waist deep in a river and the sweat is still pouring off of your face. Like fishing in a hot tub.
I lasted about 1 hour and decided that maybe this wasn't as good an idea as I originally thought it was.
BTW, I caught one little sunnie and a 6" SMB.

I thought about heading out this morning or evening, but it's pretty unbearable even in the shade.

Definitely putting a damper on things.
