OK ........ now I'm PSYCHED ........... Ordered a Hummingbird 385ci Kayak and it is supposed to arrive today ........... got my rod holders ........ have off tomorrow to mount them and get stuff together ......... got roof rack stuff so hopefully I can get the sucker on the roof .......... getting a room down there so I'll be ready to go ....... if someone wants to share a room let me know (double beds of course)

REALLY looking forward to meeting you guys and fishing w/ya ..........

First time splashing the Hobie PA so I'm looking for all the pointers I can get ........... REALLY glad the Hobie rep will be there in case I need some adjustments .........

Also looking forward to getting one of those cards with members info and the bumper stickers and any other MKF stuff .........

Speaking of which... anyone not on the wallet card and want to be added please let me know today. I'll have a new set printed tomorrow morning. I'm leaving work early to get over there. me and the missus are camping at Martinak State Park so I don't have a 2 1/2 hour drive on Saturday!

And if anyone has any adjustments let me know...

That is the launch area, not sure about the wreck. Anyone interested is welcome to join us, from the satellite picture you can see there is plenty of structure to fish if you don't want to venture out into the river/bay.

For those of you going parking is in the front where all the cars are parked in the sattelite shot, the best place to launch is on the grassy area near the outdoor bar on the water. (square building).

The local shop who is letting us try the kayaks is sponsoring a 100 mile bike race that day also, his kayak tour guide who was to be at the M&G had some kind of emergency and is flying out Friday morning, not sure if he will be able to get someone else but the kayak's will be there. An Outback, Prowler and Torque. I am sure if you have any questions we can get them answered, plenty of expeienced kayakers will be at the M&G.

Look forward to seeing meeting everyone Saturday, I think we will end up with over 20 if only a couple of the maybe's show up.

We're tent camping! Doing it at Assateague on October 15th as well. And again if the 10/9 M&G at CHSP is confirmed. Anybody for Kiptopeke in November? Better than a Hilton!

im going to camp out at CHSP and get some surf fishing in sat nite. going to be camping out at the marriott resort in the cayman isl. on the 15th wife needs some r&r and i can get some bone/permit fishing in.

M&G Today

Twelve of us made it out today, weather was perfect for kayaking and fishing but not many fish around. I believe we caught some WP, one 14" rockfish, one bluefish, a croaker and several crabs between us. The river was full of nice sized crabs. Lots of spot around, rockfish should be moving up in the river soon. We had lunch at Harrison's and were on our way home by 2:00. Attached are a couple pictures, one of the launch area behind Harrison's and couple of kayakers. Want to thank Sam for bringing the Maryland Kayak fishing sticker's and fjarhead for getting them made. JJFoley brought the name cards, which came in handy because someone forgot their paddle and we were able to track them down before they were to far up the road. Discussed a possible spring fishing tournament, seems to be positive response. Already have a couple sponsor's. Need to decide if Maryland Kayak Fishing wants to get involved maybe pick a charity to support.

had a great time too bad the fish werent cooperating. some good ideas were passed around, like cherrystone and oyster va. and the tourny in the spring. still have some stickers leftover

To continue our story, I and My friend left the Harrison restaurant around 3:30p. We tried to get crab traps at Bait store but they ran out. So we decide to go home, but on the way home we wanted to stop by SPSP to fish a bit because we could use a dozen spots that we caught earlier. We got 4 blue + a nice spot size. We left there because we didn't have any light or prepare for night fishing. Over all we had fun at both places and we were able to meet face to face with new kayak fishing people. Thanks
