Snakehead and Frogs

It seems that a lot of people have had success with frog lures for snakehead. Has anyone ever tried using live frogs for bait?

I have used live frogs once on a fishig trip in Maine. The smallmouth up there crushed them. Im sure they would work great if you feel like goin out and catchin them. I would rather use artificial than deal with the hassle of catchin and keepin live frogs. If you do use them, hook them through both lips and they stay alive for a really long time.

The only reason I asked is because my parents tend to get a lot of treefrogs in there pool and I was going to see if my brother could bring some.

I remember once as a kid using a small toad that I found and catching a pretty good sized smallmouth in a stream.

I imagen you would run out of them fairly quick i have yet to catch a SH on top water frogs only bass. Would probably do well if you where sight casting the frogs at them in shallow water.
