  • kayak lauch close to bay bridge?

Anyone know of one that is close enough so I dont have to bring cart? Preferrably free too. Thanks in advance!

You can launch at the Sandy Point boat ramps or at the beach launch area. If I launch there, I drive next to the ramp and offload my kayak close to the water. Then I park nearby in the large lot. You do need to pay a modest entry fee to get into the park. It is higher on weekends than on weekdays.

Cross the bridge to the eastern side of things. take the first exit, go right at the first light, when you reach the marina it's on the left, launch out of g dock. Same place as Hemmingway's restaraunt is, but the G dock is on the other side. Hope this helps!
It's free and a short distance from car to launch point.

The fee at Sandy Point is only $3 during the week. I think it goes up to $5 on Weekends.
