Maryland Junior League Champs!

I know, not kayak fishing related, but for those of you who met my son at the Susquehanna Jamboree, here's a little news.

Dillon and the his team from Chesapeake City just won the State Championship for Junior League Baseball (13-14 year olds)! They dominated the field in Berlin MD and now will represent the State of Maryland at Regionals in Freehold New Jersey next weekend! If they win there, it's off to the World Series in Taylor Michigan!!! They will be playing against teams from the Maine to Delaware.

Just looking for as much mojo as we can muster to get the team through this series and on to the World Series, I'll probably keep my facebook page updated for those interested and will update here as well.

Congrats!! I was able to win states at 8 years old and then again at 12 in baseball, so I know the feeling!!! Unfortunately I know the other feeling too losing in the both the state finals (extra innings) and semifinals during my high school career. Tell him to keep working hard, playing in high school and college was some of the best experiences of my young life so far..
