Let us know how you do. I went to Mills creek to test out the crabbing there, and could only manage 14 medium crabs. They crabs were not there in force. A few boaters told me that it has been slow lately. It was slow enough to where I left the chicked necks on my trot line and stored it in the freezer to use another day.

I caught 13 nice crabs in my two hours on the water and netted a softcrab off of a piling too. This is about normal for me and plenty for my wife and I to have a nice meal. I had a couple times catching two crabs in one trap but not two keepers. I threw back quite a few small ones, but it didnt seem as many as a month ago. I was using nine traps baited with white perch. I'm sure the trotline guys would do a lot better...
I also caught another puppy drum that was about 11.5 inches. Good morning on the water!

I used the Outback today to maximize my crabbing time.
Thanks, I will!
