Me Turtle, Dan Marino and maybe Burto will be hitting the slavin's ramps around 7AM, of course Dave will probably be there earlier. Any one looking for a company should meet up with us.

As always it was a pleasure kayak fishing with people from this forum.

Archeryrob, Turtle135, and Berto are great guys who I plan to fish with again soon.

After a few hours we ran into Chimo or Chexone (I think it was Chimo though my memory is not so great with names). Anyway, he was coming in for some lunch and he indicated he caught some bass and two snakeheads. He was going to head to Mallows Bay after lunch to see how the fishing was there.

It was a rough day at Mattawoman for me. We launched from the Mattingly Avenue/Slavins ramp and it was massively crowded down there. Lots of kayakers, canoes, and glitter boats. Way more people that I'm used to seeing at the top end of Mattawoman.

I had 5 blow ups on my Zoom toad, but couldn't connect with anything. I spooked several snakeheads while paddling and fishing through the lily pads.

To avoid the skunk I put on a size 1 Blue Fox spinner in fire tiger color and immediately hooked up with two bluegills and a white perch. Also missed two bass on the spinner. This one bluegill was really a neat looking fish.

To cheer me up I took some photos of the giant mushrooms growing in my yard.
