Major traffic problem near Jonas Green on Sunday morning

There will be a large running race (10 miler, I think) on Sun morning (Aug 26) around Annapolis. The race course crosses over the Naval Academy bridge (Rt 450 -- by Jonas Green). The bridge and nearby roads will be closed for a period of time. I suspect the parking area at Jonas Green will get filled up too.

If you plan to fish from Jonas Green on Sun, you should try to arrive very early or wait until late morning. Or as alternatives, launch at the Tucker St ramp onto Weems Creek or at Truxton Park onto Spa Creek.

Road closures will begin at 07:30 and reopen at 10:00. The parking, start and finish is at the Navy/Marine Corps Stadium so other than the road closure, Jonas Green should be ok.
