    Matt -

I would like to fish tomorrow. We have remodeling contractors working in the house. Either my wife or I need to be home. I will check her schedule this evening.

The bite was good when I started at 8:15. It got quite slow by 9:30. To some extent where I fished early was in the shade, but was in full sun by mid morning.

My first 5 minutes were great:

          Cast#1 - perch on
          Cast #2 - rockfish on
Casts #3 and 4 - lure was bumped but no hook up
          Cast #5 - perch on

          Cast #~10 - redfish on.

I finished with 3 rock, ~20 perch, and 1 redfish.

Matt and Ed arrived later, then we were joined by luremaker Bignose who shared a few of his top-notch spinners with us. It was good to see you guys.

It was a pleasure to finally meet some of you. I can't get out much this time of the year.
I hope that you tear em up on the spinner jigs, John sure seems to do O.K. with them.
They may not be as pretty as Woody's are but the price was right.
After you left the area I got into a decent school of WP over by Monticello Drive up to about 10 inches. Plus a nice 18" pickerel, a scrawny rock, and crab (on a curly tail jig).
No redfish yet. Maybe next time.

              Nice!! Thanks again Bignose!

Ed and I went up towards the eastport bridge and fished. I caught a number of perch up to 10" and Ed got into some schoolies catching one at 15"... put up a really good fight for him on the ultralite!

I'm glad to hear that you all got into more fish after I left.

The early part of the day was a little slow but out by the Compromise St. Bridge things picked up. Another thanks to Bignose for the spinner baits.
I think the heavy rains on Sunday had a big effect on the fishing today. The little reds were probably thinned out by the drop in salinity and i noticed that the water was no very clear. Please feel free to add any and all reasonable excuses

The Bignose 1/8-oz green spinnerbait continues to produce nice fish. I caught a 12.5" perch in Weems this afternoon on that lure.
