    Dang! I was busy.

Kevin and I tried hard to catch keeper flounders. But the wind was too strong in the Potomac River side. Controlling the drifting speed was a major task in the morning. So we moved to the other side of the point (the long public pier side). We caught several juvenile redfish and stripers, some toadfish and sea bass.

I bought 12 pounds of pink shrimp the day before. I went to the Fairfax Lotte for fresh shrimp (I couldn’t find a box of shrimp for days). I asked a man in the fish dept for a box of frozen head-on shrimp. The store was out of the head-on shrimp. I explain him I prefer head-on shrimp because I will be fishing for tautog in October eventually. Suddenly he got all excited when he heard word, ‘tautog’. He said he always used pink shrimp in NY for tog. He swore by pink shrimp for tautog.
I thought always pink shrimp on the shelf was cooked shrimp. So I emptied the shelf thinking I can always eat shrimp.
And I tested headless pink shrimp:

good company, good exercise, nice info on pink shrimp (though they looked too yummy to use for bait!) ...nice day overall. I bet we covered about 10 miles. We fished a reef i'd never found before which was good. Only bad thing......TOADS! ARRGGHHHH I hate those things.
