just picked up this reel. feels really solid. obviously, there are some issues out of the box which is disappointing to me, such as the bottom spool seal. other notes is the gap between the handle and body and the engraving inside, which i asked penn on SOL penn forum. just messing with it, i think it will be a hit, but we'll see.

Your seal just looks to be defective but the gap is supposed to be there. They put seals between the handle and the body. Nice reel though.
