Some pretty good improvements there. The built-in Wi-Fi is good, especially since you can turn the camera on/off with the remote, saving valuable battery time.

My biggest complaint about the GoPro2 was the virtually nonexistent sound when using the waterproof casing. I don't know if this is addressed in the new model, but they say:

My friend said you can get the Hero Naked for about about $100 now. Hmmmmm....... you can buy three Nakeds for the price of one Hero 3 Silver ($300).

Anyone try the Silver yet? Any noticeable performance difference? Worth the price?

Yeah ........ the black edition seems to actually be better than the Vio Pov 's HD. I have been eyeing it too especially because I can control it with my Ipad. I'm gonna wait till I hear the good and bad from others.

I know, we got a few in at West Marine. They are really nice, much smaller and lighter. I am going to sell my Hero 2 units and upgrade to these.
