Dry-Top Vs Semi Dry Top

Aside from the obvious between the two, what exactly is inferior about the semi-dry top for it to be classified as such? Is it the overall material? The wrist & neck seals? ANybody have any idea?

i believe semi dry tops dont have the latex neck gasket.

it has wrist gaskets and the neck part is made out of neoprene. I cant stand the latex neck gaskets, they are uncomfortable to me.

For it to be considered a dry top it has to have latex wrist and neck seals. Semi-dry tops use neoprene for the neck and sometimes the wrist.

The semi worked very well. It has some holes from the hoooks and blues biting through it.

Is what I think Pinch was using before (I use the same jacket). I use it with waders and have never had an issue. I would urge everyone to spend the money to get a breathable Gore-Tex top. IF you don't, you will feel like you have trash bag around you and sweat your butt off.

if you get that top, buy a size up, maybe even two. i got a large and its still a bit small on me.
