Well, hell, Russ, tried calling you back twice and missed your return call..... I am planning on getting out next week to the upper bay Northeast river. I would be glad to show you around but tomorrow, Sunday, is a no go for me. The wife and are celebrating our 39 anniversary this weekend. Russ, could you tell me where I can buy one of those batteries like you are using for you depth finder?

They are calling for nine mile an hour winds from the Northwest. That should keep us fairly well protected fishing on the western shore. We are going to be at Sandy Point State Park at about 7 AM. Hope you can make it.

I am sorry I missed your call. My battery is from a lawn tractor. They sell them at Sears and at all of the battery discounters. Tried to give me a day or two's notice. I would love to make it up your way to try for some cold weather bass.

@ doc they also make a small 12 v battery they use for hunting cams that works perfect for fish finders. They also hold charge for 2 to 3 days without charge. They sell em at my work (bass pro) in the hunting section for around 30 bucks w charger

How many amp hours?

Not sure didnt check. I just know its the battery we were using for the humminbird 160 portable and wed leave it on for 2 to 3 days and it wouldnt need charging.

And i looked yesterday chargers 10 to 15 extra. Still worth it tho. Ill find out how many amp hours there are for ya

Doc; I have a humminbird 597 color. My battery is 12 amp hours and will run it all weekend with no problem.

I know Russ. I have tried to find one like yours and have had not success at all. What brand is it and what model? If I cannot locate one here would you be willing to buy one for me and I can get it from lyou the next time we fish.
