Man ur gettin it all lol. I dont have a cart yet but i got the elite 4 combo fish finder gps for christmas. Ron what kinda lowrance did u get? A price like that its gotta be at least a 5 inch screen. And ive heard west marine sells the transducers extra. Can u confirm this for me?

Be careful with the skupper mount too cuz it still hangs down in the water. Thats why im going shoot through hull on mine. Careful not to scrape it or snap it. On the regular skimmer mounts (mount on the transom of boat) a lotta people come in needin new transducers.

It is the Elite 5 DSI Gold with the optional Lowrance kayak scupper transducer ($39)- I haven't seen the transducer yet, She has everything wrapped under the tree, but if there is a way, I'll make sure the transducer is tight to the bottom of the Outback hull and not dangling underneath- already thinking of many ways of doing that-

Dsi spells long skinny higher frequency transducer. Somethin like a 455 kz. Sonar usually is a round ish one either 83/200 (smaller) or 50?200 (bigger/deep water) u wont lose water temp doin it your way thats def a plus.

I self-gifted (a new term I read in Newsweek this morning) myself three new Stradic reels in the past week. One was the 2500 that Dogfish mentioned. The other two were 3000s that I bought from Marty's Tackle shop last weekend. This will allow me to upgrade my reel arsenal to all Stradics.

I got the c14 1000 i think it is. Smallest one they make and i put it on an ultralight. 200 dollar reel and i put it on a 40 dollar ultralight ugly stick lol. Prob woulda been better on st croix but they bend me making casting further harder to do. Ul ugly stick doesnt bend half as much
