  • Air Horn

I just got a small air horn for an additional audible signal to my whistle.
For those who already own these, once I screw the horn onto the can, piercing the seal, will it slowly leak and eventually run out?

I scared my son testing my horn. He was on his Xbox and after reading your post I pulled my basket and looked at mine its 2 years old. [A small one] I hit the button I think this head set came off. [He Jumped]. I do spray everything exposed with WD40 every 3to4 times out. I saw that on a Hobie form for the mirage drive so I use it on everything.

Running a powerboat is a lot of responsibility- just like driving a car- back in the day I had a 24 foot Stamas Clearwater cuddy cabin that was powered by a Mercruiser 225- when the boat was on plane it was hard to have a conversation with anyone in the boat due to engine noise- unless the air horn is blown inside the cockpit, chances are you wouldn't hear someone blowing a whistle or an air horn when on full power- paying attention and having your head on a swivel when operating a boat is the only way to safely operate. The best way to get a boater's attention in this circumstance of them running you down is to bounce a flare off his windshield
