Fished Weems Creek Mon. I heard Mytmouse and MetroMan didn’t do so well there Saturday but I decided to try anyway. On my way up to my secret coves I trolled a Swagbelly bucktail with a 4” shad body and 2 oz inline sinker about 20 ft. back of the kayak and when I got to about 8 ft of water, Fish-On! a 20" Rock! After I released it and calmed down I started throwing Woody's Spinner to the shaded shoreline the rest of the day, catching White Perch and a nice 24” Pickeral too! I noticed the fish were not in the usual coves, but further up in the creek! Warmer there I guess. Didn’t see a lot of baitfish like last Oct. either.

Did you get a pic of the pickerel? I think 24" is a citation. I'm glad to hear they're still there. I was wondering if the salinity would be too high for them in the lower parts of the Severn.
