Potomac River gauges - 3"- 4" inches of rain

Potomac River flowing at twice the normal level...may still go up as upstream water reaches the gauges...this weekend may be a bust, be careful

I was looking at the river stages yesterday before the rain came. Looks like I'll be working on my Volvo 240 rear suspension bushings this weekend instead of heading out in the kayak.

I suspect the upper Potomac will be a raging torrent by Saturday. On the positive side I'm pretty sure the crazy weather this week took out the layer of ice covering my local reservoir.
