Historically the dates and locations are set back in January, where the members who attended the January M&G hosted by SurfDog votes and suggested the places on the list. They picked the Hooper Island for a reason, such as wanting to fish the famous bridge for Rockfish. That being said, if a date or location must be changed due to schedule conflicts, poor fishing conditions, a lack of a host, such as a host for Hooper's Island, then by all means, we have made changes before. You did the right thing RavensDfense by posting a vote and it seems like Deale won and you stepped up to take the unclaimed Sept host duties....bravo. Deale it is.

Anyone have a date for the July M&G? Looking forward to it and trying to make plans to attend.

Sorry for the delay, I lined up July 13. We can meet at The Lucky Angler in West Ocean City right off of RT 50, figured that location has parking, bait, up to date reports, and a few places to launch nearby. I'm looking to have Coffee and Donuts from 0630 to 0730, then fish, followed by lunch at Pizza Tugo's (same parking lot) after fishing if anyone is interested. I am working on a few more thing and if I can get them together, I will post them here. Thanks Carl

I am hosting the September M&G. If it is all the same to everyone else, I am up for changing the location from Deale Island to Crisfield, in order to fish the CCA Speck and Red Catch and Release Tournament. The drive isn't much further (approximately 15 minutes more) and there are better dining/lodging options in Crisfield.

I know everyone's time is valuable, so I would rather see a good turn out for this, then a random weekend. Please let me know how you all feel about the possible change, especially since this is the second one. Again, the travel difference between Deale Island and Crisfield is insignificant, it is the change of date that may be a problem for some folks.

Just start a thread for a vote. I do not see a problem with it if everyone who is interested in going agrees. Just remember that not everyone who goes will be in the tournament I would imagine.

It was this past Saturday. They almost always fall on the second Saturday of the month. Sometimes there is a vote to change date or maybe even location but that is rare.
As far as the November M&G the action was so but a good turn out of yakers.

How do you know what time the events start?

There is normal ya thread started on here with the host putting stuff together. These are very unofficial events so really you can start when you want and catch up with others on the water or at lunch afterwards.
