  • Tri State Marine fishing show report

    Today I went to the Tri State Fishing show and it was awesome. there was a ton of good stuff and nice people there. I met allot of people from tidalfish and saw some old friends.

    * I got some specialized-baits bucktails, and man do they look good!
    * I got some bust'em baits jerk shads also. These things look great and they have a ton more action than bass assasin or bkds. The split in the middle really looks great and I cant wait to try them out!
    * I also got a spoon umbrella, its literaly made of spoon handles and it looks great. The vendor there had a video of the spoon umbrella on a laptop and it "screams eat me". You could see this umbrella from miles away. I found out that the spoons are actually spoon handles with a hook, which looks allot like a slender bay anchovy compared to a drone or tony accenta spoon.
    * I got a cool looking hat
    * I also got Lenny Ruddow's book " Fishing the Chesapeake". I have read a few pages and this book goes into such detail its like a fishing bible.
    * Lastly and the coolest thing I got was some Crippled Alwife spoons. We use these spoons always and they are super effective on umbrella rigs. In the past I've only seen them in green, gold ,and silver colors. Well today this one vendor has some older ones and she had some crazy colors including half green/half blue , pink red head/white body , pink/blue/white , and many many many other crazy colors. I guess crippled alwife spoons quit making those colors. I bought one that was red with gold lightning bolts on it just because i thought it looked cool.

    I had alot of fun today and cant wait to go to another fishing show!
