  • question for Kayak Wars veterans

If you catch a Striped Bass on the Susquehanna Flats do you enter that fish in Kayak Wars as a saltwater or a freshwater fish?

Also on White Perch (which are only listed as a freshwater fish in Kayak Wars), if you catch one in the Chesapeake Bay do you score it?

Looking to maximize my points this season!

I would go with whatever maximizes your points

Technically the fall line for fresh to salt is the conowingo dam.

Last year, i entered the perch as fresh

I would say a tidal Striper is salt and a lake Striper is fresh. At least that is how I see it. Not sure why White perch are only fresh water. I have only caught them in salt water.

Everyone should believe in something... I believe I'll go fishing.

Also figures that I'm catching Pickerel in tributaries without any direct fresh water input and they are counted as fresh. White Perch are also fresh water fish..... Oh, and good luck on a 15'' Spade fish.

Like Shady said. It could go both ways, if you are doing better in fresh water count it as fresh.

Similar to their striped cousins, white perch are anadromous, so they can thrive in salt or freshwater. Loch raven has a really good white perch population and I think many of the other area reservoirs have them too.
