I would like to make it out so tentatively count me in. I'm relatively new to kayaking and fishing in the area.

I highly recommend making an appearance. Last month was my first meet and greet, despite the weather it was a blast for me. Before then, I couldn't navigate through a rain puddle, but it was smooth sailing and managed to catch some fish. Everyone was friendly and willing to pass on advice, not to mention you get to see all kinds of kayaking rigs. My schedule is usually insane, but my goal is to make everyone.

I am looking to come, but I want to use slower inlines and skip the minnows.

I am looking forward to meeting all the new and seasoned members next week. My job wants me to work Friday night and maybe Saturday...oh no! But I am going to do my best to finish everything on Friday night, so I may be a little forgetful and sluggish on Sat.

I plan on heading out for this myself. I know pickerel has been discussed, but what else is biting in the Severn? This will be my first time fishing there.

Anybody launching at truxton, I am a trailer dragged. If so would be great to talk before hitting the water.

Im still not sure I will be able to make it or not, but hoping too.

As far as other fish biting, it is probably a little early yet for much else. You might be able to find some white perch and Striper have been know to congregate on the old bridge debris (railroad and drawbridge), but white perch fishing doesnt really pick up in the Severn until april or may and in past years the Striper were more prevalent in the fall.

I've found the most effective way to get Pickerel in tidal water is with minnows on a light jighead slowly pulled along just off the bottom. I learned this technique from the Severn Pickerel Master himself Mr. Veil.

I saw shadyfisher's report from the Magothy yesterday. Due to cold and windy weather, and a recent brutal travel schedule, I have not gotten on the Severn since Feb 12. If anyone else has first-hand reports from the Severn, please post them.

Hey John, it seems that your have 13 potential already for the Severn..... I know that there are potential two more anglers that told me at BPS over the weekend that they might be coming too, so that will bring you to possibly 15! You are approaching the 17 that we had at the Susky.

I may make it out depending on what my work schedule is. Just wondering though I looked at Jonas Green Park on google earth and it looks like you just put in off the shore, is this correct? I am assuming it is the parking area near the pier?
