Still no perch at Allens Fresh. Paddled everywhere and tried both minnows and plastic grubs with no luck. They should be here soon. What are the YP reports on other local waters?

Thanks for the report, I was thinking about fishing Allens Fresh on Monday. I've never fished AF except from shore when I was a teen. Did you try the Cedars? I hear they should be staging in those deep pools preparing for their spawning run. I haven't been out since a January pickeral excursion on Weems Creek, is the water still in the mid to upper 30 degree range? If that's the case, it may still be two to three more weeks before the run starts...let's pray for some warm sunny days.

I tried all the way down to the cedars and all the way up to a mile above the bridge. It has been a little warmer the last couple days and they should be stagging by the cedars soon. I tried wasons corners today with some limited sucess. I noticed that over seventy people looked at this thread, but only one replied. Are that few people fishing or is it an unspoken rule not to share real fishing reports?

Sassafras river. Maybe its a rule not to look in the fishing reports area. There are also other resources ( Tidalfish, Pier and Surf, DNR Angler Logs).

Thanks for the helpful (and sarcastic) redirect. I did not read below the title "Boatyard" because the name didnt bring to mind fishing reports.
