  • The countdown begins!

Catch and release season on the flats is a month away! I put of with the rest of the year just to get to spring rockfish season.

I'm looking forward to the flats!!! Last year we had pretty good luck casting X-Raps, tony spoons, spooks, and light jigs. The northern guys brought Sandworms and tube and wormed, they did really well on that oddly enough! I wish it was easier for us to get sandworms.

This year I plan to fish more topwater and large plastics once I find the fish. I had numerous big blowups last year on both that have been haunting me!
                Used to fish more.
