newbie: VHF question

When I used to fish the bay, when speaking with friends on the vhf, we would describe the opposite of how a spot was performing. The more a location "sucked", the better it was!

Any thoughts on the Standard Horizon HX751 versus the Uniden MHS126?

i just got the standard horizon hx150. It's floating and there's a deal at cabela's for $85, went to BPS and they price matched it when I showed them at the register. seemed like a good deal for a trusted brand and floating handheld VHF.

can't comment much on it yet, since I haven't really tried it. But so far I can't complain for the price. Only thing I noticed is that it has buttons instead of knobs for Volumne and squelch ..don't know if that's a big deal cause I'm a VHF n00b as well.
