Any one know when the NOAA is going to put the monitoring buoy back in the water? It is still showing up as offline, I want to start watching the water temps and conditions to start going after some Rockfish.

Thanks, here is the article I could find. Looks like the whole buoy program was not put in the 2013 budget and is currently on a 6 month extension.

Looks like between that and the recent stuff going on with the federal budget cuts across the board it doesn't look too promising. Too bad that was a useful tool.Mike

According to the NOAA website it's supposed to go back in on Monday (March 25th). http://buoybay.noaa.gov/locations/susquehanna.html___________________________________

All the CBIBS buoys are back on line to include the Susky buoy as of Friday. 3-22-13. Just in the nick-of-time for Flats fishing. Unfortunately, the Suskly buoy is registering a bone chilling 41F.

I was going to take a trip up Friday, but with water temps not even mid 40's it's likely a waste of time....but time I'd still like to waste
