I have camped there before. You can be as remote as u want in there. I was so far back in there once, I got a spot next to the river and it would take 40min just to get out the forest. And they have a boat ramp there. Some Flat water there

I can't find any info on their website but the assateague national seashore (not the state park, and it doesn't have running water) doesn't seem like it has that restriction. also they have back country camping that you can kayak to the camp sites. been wanting to try this out for a while.

My buddy and I have a plan in the works for the back country spots on assateague. Looking forward to it.
