for a little bit. make sure you learn how to launch and come back from the surf (not that easy). I plan on going camping there again this year and do some more yak fishing as well.

I haven't either, but I have fished the northern part at the OC Inlet. What I would like to know is where the good flounder grounds are. I heard of productive areas west side of the island. Maybe there are good drop offs, structure, etc off the shore ocean-side. I think flounder bite should be picking up in a few weeks.

Screwed around for 2 days off AI last summer. Watch out for wind from the east, s/e or n/e as it can get the surf building on the beach and make launching tougher. Theres obviously a lot of water to cover and I just kinda wandered around. Caught some small croaker and and a small weak fish and there were some good size schools of bunker around but I didn't manage anything interesting. Plan on hitting it again this summer but need to do some research and see if I can find some kinda structure.
